Bould Consulting Limited understands the importance of training the future architects, surveyors and engineers of Cayman. We are firm believers in the development of young Caymanians, and as such we have our very own Stephen Eden as our Quantity Surveyor intern. In his own words, he explains his experience working and learning at Bould Consulting;
“My internship at Bould Consulting has been an incredibly rewarding experience that has helped me grow both professionally and personally. As an aspiring Quantity Surveyor, I am getting the opportunity to apply the knowledge I gained at my second year in university in a real-world environment while learning from experienced professionals such as Patrick Stainton and Julliet Imbwaga.
Throughout my second summer working at Bould Consulting, I have been involved in a variety of tasks that strengthened my understanding of quantity surveying, cost management, construction documentation, and project coordination. I also developed my technical skills even further this year with software such as Kreo, gaining valuable experience in interpreting drawings and supporting design and the construction processes.
One of the most valuable aspects of my time at Bould Consulting has been the supportive team environment. Everyone is willing to share their knowledge, answer questions, and encourage me to take on new challenges. This experience has increased my confidence, improved my communication and problem-solving skills, and given me a clearer understanding of the responsibilities involved in quantity surveying, project management and contract administration.
This internship has reinforced my passion for the construction industry and affirmed that I have chosen the right career path. I am grateful to everyone at Bould Consulting for their guidance, encouragement, and the opportunity to gain practical experience that will benefit me throughout my future career.”
